Fulfilling The Words Of Zechariah… Again

That’s what the attraction is. The predestinated Seed of God who can’t do nothing else but follow It, means more than life to us. Take our lives, but you don’t take That. What is the attraction? God, as usual, fulfilling His Word. He is fulfilling the Word of Zechariah again, of prophet Zechariah.
95    Where I read the 9th verse a while ago, when Jesus entered His temple, riding… or entered Jerusalem, riding on a little, white donkey, the prophecy was fulfilled that Zechariah said. Here It is, "Rejoice greatly, O daughters of Zion. Shout, O daughters of Jerusalem. Behold, thy King is coming unto thee; He is just, and having salvation; lowly, riding upon an ass, and upon the colt the foal of an ass." That’s what the attraction was at Jerusalem, at the religious headquarters.

Did you notice it? Did you notice the King coming unto thee riding upon a lowly foal of an ass? Did you see pass the prophet veil and see Christ or did you just see a man? Did you see the Word of Zechariah being fulfilled again?

If you saw the King coming unto you by those Seven Thunder Mysteries, then rejoice on daughters of Zion!

I Have Received So Much of His Unmerited Blessings.

“But if I knew that I was wrong, and God has chose me to be wrong, I would want to stay wrong, and because that I want to do His will. It’s, I love Him till I want His will to be done. Now, that’s a big statement, but I hope you get it in the way, the spirit I said it in. See, I want to do His will.”   William Branham

Now to you people that’s standing in that line, if you can believe the Presence of God is here, that the Holy Spirit is in our midst now, doing just exactly what He said He would do. If I had power to heal you, I would certainly do it. If I had any way of healing you, I would certainly do it. I do not have it. I… God has give a little gift.
183    I’m not much of a preacher. I don’t have education enough to be qualified as a preacher, what is called a preacher in these days, when the–when the experiences must be a theological experience, and it must have certain doctor’s degree, and so forth. I can’t qualify for that. But God, seeing my heart, and know that I want to do something for Him, I want to appreciate it.

184       A man said to me the other day, said, "I think you’re just a fine man, Mr. Branham, but I believe you’re sincerely wrong. You’re all out of the will. Do you know you’ll be condemned at the end?"
185    And I said, "Look, I want to tell you something. I’m going to say that you–that you would be right, just to say for the argument’s sake. If I am wrong, which I–I don’t believe I am; but if I was wrong, and I knowed right now that I was going to live to be a hundred years old, and He was going to condemn me at the end of the road, and tell me, ‘You don’t deserve to come into My Heaven, William Branham. Get out into outer darkness.’ You know what? I would serve Him every day of my life until I went, anyhow. For I have received so much of His unmerited blessings, that He is more than life to me. He is everything that I…"

186     All that I am, all that I ever could hope to be, I have derived from His grace and mercy. I was wretched, miserable, poor, blind; but by grace He has healed me, and I am strong and healthy, by the grace of God. I have good eyesight. I have eat, drink, have whatever I have need of. He never promised to supply my wants; my needs.
187   And if I am cast away at that day, and I knowed… I cannot see where I would be. But if I knew that I was wrong, and God has chose me to be wrong, I would want to stay wrong, and because that I want to do His will. It’s, I love Him till I want His will to be done. Now, that’s a big statement, but I hope you get it in the way, the spirit I said it in. See, I want to do His will. I ask Him for something sometime, He shakes His head "no," I just rejoice so much about that as I can if He said "yes." Because, we always ought to ask, "Thy will be done." His noes is just as… if that’s His will, that’s just… It’s a whole lot better than His yeses, if it’s His will to do it. That’s when you really love Him. Amen.

Perfect Strength

And then, the other side, we get these feelings and we think then that we’re insufficient, and we don’t want to do it; but then if we just listen to the call of God, that’s the very thing that God wants us to get into, that kind of a shape so He can.
When we are insufficient ourselves, then we are subjects to yield to God’s Spirit. As long as we think that we can do it, then we can’t do it. But when we get to a place where we know we can’t do it, then we yield ourself to God and He does it. So then if it’s us trying to do it we’ll fail, but if we’ll just yield ourself to God then God can’t fail. There’s only one thing that God cannot do, and that’s fail. He can do anything else but fail. But He cannot fail.
So as long as we’re trying in ourselves and depending on our own abilities, and so forth, why, we’ll do nothing. But when we get to a place where we know we’re nothing, then God can use us.

56       The important thing, one of the important things that we must master… Now, remember this, and especially you young preachers, and lay members alike. There’s one thing that we’ve got to master if we expect to fulfill God’s desire in our life; that is, we have to master the thought of human ability. If we ever get to a spot where we think that we can do it with our own intelligence and our own abilities, we’ve got to master that in such a way that we can get rid of the thing and lay it aside so that God can use us. That’s right.

57       And make a complete surrender. We cannot use one ability. We’ve got to make a complete surrender. And to come to God, you’ve got to surrender to Him both soul, body, and spirit. Everything that you are has to be surrendered to God in order that He can work His will in you and in me.
Now, that’s hard; I know; ’cause we’re always wanting to put our part in, something that we know, you know, that we want to do it. We say, "Well, I–I just know it should be done this way." But as long as you’re doing it that way it’s going to be wrong, and God will never use that effort. Maybe with the help of the Lord we’re going to get into that in a few minutes and just show you how God cannot use your ability.

59       That’s what’s the matter with the world today: there’s too much seminary experiences too much placed upon education, too much placed upon relationship or fellowships in denomination; we rest on one another; we rest upon men with ability.
The Bible said, "How can you have faith when you–when you are…" Let’s see, how is that Scripture? "How can you have faith when you’re preferring one another?"
When we are expecting, saying, "This guy, he’s a great person. This is a great person; I’ll just lean upon him," that displeases God when you do that. We must lean upon God and God alone. We mustn’t trust the ability of ourselves or any man. We must completely yield to God.

62       No ability, I don’t care whose it is, will never be usable in the sight of God. God has to get all of our abilities out of us before He can achieve His purpose. If He’s got something for us to do, and as long as we feel that we’re doing a pretty good job out of it, then we’ll never be able to be used of God.
Now, you say, "You’re making an awful broad statement there, Brother Branham." And that–that is a broad one, but just look around and find out if whether it’s right or not.
Look around today at all of our great achievement we think we’ve done, and where is Christianity in United States? Look at all of our churches and denominations, and our evangelists and healing campaigns, and everything else we’ve had, and what is it? Worse than it ever was in the beginning. It’s worse off today than it ever was, because that we have tried to do it in human ability.
They gather together and make long prayers and go out here. And how the other day where they had so many, a hundred and fifty thousand, or something like that, gathered together, both Protestant and Catholic, say some prayers, and pray some prayers, and make some prayers, and so forth. That just might as well not have gathered; it’s not worth nothing in the sight of God.
Now, if I get critical, forgive me. See? But I–I’ve… You’ve got to drive the thing down. See? You’ve got to make it hit the nail.

A Solemn Warning To Stand Still

And we find on down a little farther in our lesson, that many of those were overthrowed because they could do all the rituals, and all the orders and everything that God required, and still their hearts wasn’t right with God.
Now, we can do many things. We can take communion. We could be baptized. We can–we can come to church, have our names on the book, or be just as respect and reverent as we can be, and still be lost. That’s a solemn warning. We could be just as–just rejoice, when the Spirit would fall. And in a meeting where the Word was being preached, and our souls would just rejoice with the Word, and still be lost. The rain falls on the just and the unjust. The same rain that makes the wheat grow, makes the weed grow. It’s the nature of the product. See? It’s the nature of it that tells what we are. Therefore, it’s the nature that’s in us that tells what we are. See?
Not we might be so religious till we wouldn’t turn our hands on Sunday to do a thing. We might not even take a stitch in our clothes on Sunday. We might not even feel justified to buy food on Sunday. And we might be so religious and so pious. But yet if we are not literally borned again of the Spirit of God, we’re just worshipping in vain. So now, it’s pretty stiff, and we want to really find it and know the truth; because remember, we’re not going to get a second chance at this. It’s just this one time. So you’d better be real sure.

E-20       Notice. They all took communion. That life that was in… We know that it was a natural process, because it was little frost-like that rained from heaven, little wafers with honey on them. See? The wafer was just a little like a cracker, a little cookie, and had honey over the top of it. And they all were partakers of that. Every one passed through the Red Sea and was baptized through the cloud and through the sea unto Moses. Following his instructions of God’s servant, they were all baptized unto Him. They were all followers as we are today, led by the Holy Spirit, the great Instructor of the Christian Church. We are led through to water baptism. And he said, "They all taken of the same manna." The… What did it do? That manna fell for Korah and for his group, just the same as it did for Moses, Caleb, and Joshua. They were all mixed together, all partakers of baptism, all partakers of membership, all partakers of confession, and now all partakers of the communion.
Do you get it? Look at that solemn warning. And Tabernacle folks, get that way down deep. Remember, it’s your eternal destination hangs right there. Don’t just pass it by like the little flutter or something. This is something we must come respective to. It’s something that means whether we live hereafter or not.

E-21      They were all baptized unto Moses through the Red Sea; they all followed that same Spirit Being, the Cloud and the Pillar of Fire. They all were led by the same Angel. They all come out by the same pastor. They all was baptized into the sea. They all eat of that spiritual Manna and that Manna was Christ. Christ coming down, the manna come down every night from heaven and perished here to sustain the people in their journey. And Christ come from heaven and gave His life, "that whosoever believeth on Him should not perish, but have Everlasting Life." Christ come down and became our Manna.
They eat of the same spiritual blessings. Therefore the Holy Spirit can fall right in amongst the people, and both Christian, and lukewarm, and half believers, and borderline believers will all eat the same. But that doesn’t mean it yet.
Oh, how I wished I had words, that I could drive this down and cinch it in the heart of every person here to see what a deep thing this is? It isn’t something to be played with. It isn’t just going to church.

It’s a nervous age. What is it? Then I give this solemn warning to the Church: Stand still. God always commands to stand still before He does anything.
The churches is in a neurotic stage. Every church is a proselyting, and pulling, and fussing, and stewing. It’s a neurotic age. But stand still. Now, that’s the message.
Notice, Caleb here. The people had just come back, the spies, from over into the promised land. They was at Kadesh-barnea. And they had been brought through many trials and had seen the hand of God: A very beautiful picture of the Full Gospel church. And many of them had become discouraged, discouraged and upset because so many different isms and things has happened in the church. But that don’t take away the real thing. God’s calling His Church to halt. Stand still, don’t be jumping and running, not knowing what you’re doing. Come back to the Word. Come back to Christ.

E-18       Caleb… There was ten of the spies that come back and said, "Oh, it’s impossible for us to do it. Why," said, "their great places are walled. And they are giants in the land. We nearly looked like grasshoppers to the side of them. Oh, we are a failure; we can’t do it."
And of course, ten against two, they were outnumbered. But Joshua and Caleb took their stand and said, "We are more than able to do it."
But before Caleb, or Joshua could speak, Caleb had to still the people first, get them quiet. Stand still. Don’t be running here, and running there, and jumping at this, and jumping at that.
Now, what made Caleb so sure of it when the opposition was so great? It’s according to what you’re looking at. Caleb was looking at the promise of God. The other ten was looking at circumstances. If you go to look at circumstance, or to look what’s around you, you are sure to fail. But you must never look at what’s around you.

E-19       What if that man setting there looked at the opposition, by his boy there, a cripple in that chair? What if this nice, clean looking man setting back there in the wheelchair looked at the circumstances? What if the lady laying in that chair, leaning back, looked at the circumstances? What if this poor blind woman leaning on a shoulder of another thought of the circumstances? The doctor has tried. He’s failed. He’s a man, like I am, you are. And if you look at that, then you’re going to be a failure to begin with.
But the Christian doesn’t look at circumstances; he looks at the Word and stands still. God said so; that settled it. What if Abraham looked at the circumstances? If the doctor examined your heart… That kills more people than anything else. The doctor examined your heart and said, "You might drop at any time, you got a murmur." That’s true. If you look at that, then you’re–you’re–you’re defeated to begin with. Look what God said.

I Look To What He Said.

What if someone came up in the morning to your door, express agent, and throwed a whole basketful of rattlesnakes, and had your name on them. Said, "Here they are; they’re yours."
You know they’re there, just like you know your symptoms is there. If you receive them, they’re yours. But you don’t have to take them. You can say, "I don’t want them."
Say, "Your name’s on them."
Say, "I don’t want them. I won’t have them."
He can stand there and argue as much as he wants to. But until you take them and sign for them, they belong to the express company until you sign for them. Don’t sign for nothing the devil brings. You say, "There it is, though I refuse to have it." That’s right. "Take it back." Have nothing to do with it."
If you won’t testify that you’ve got it… When you testify you still have your sickness, the devil keeps it with you. But refuse to testify of it. Say, "I won’t have it. No, sir."

E-31       Oh, my. That’s when you’re getting faith. Give your faith a chance. Turn it loose; unbridle it; let it work. You’ve got it all bound down with traditions. Turn it loose; cut it loose. Let God have His way with you. Somebody’s word’s right, either what you’re looking at or what God says. God’s Word is true. Believe It. All right.
But the first time you testify of your sickness, it brings you right down to that realm again. You signed for it. Refuse to sign for it. Testify of what you believe.

E-32       When I had stomach trouble, so bad till even the doctors said there’s not…?… you. That was Mayo’s too. I accepted Him upon this Scripture. He’s the High Priest of my confession. I said, "I refuse to testify any more, nothing but what God says. I believe His Word."
Jesus died to heal us. Every one of you is healed. Every one of you is healed right now. Jesus has already healed you; you just have to confess it and believe it. That’s right. By His stripes you were (past tense) healed. That’s when He did it at Calvary. That’s when He overcome ALL SICKNESS AND SIN and all, at Calvary, for you. Just like a table set, it’s there. Only thing you have to do is go eat. You have to accept it, believe it in your heart, and confess it. And He’s the High Priest of your confession.
E-33       When I started to eat and swallowed the first mouthful… The doctor said, "One mouthful, if he eats, will be indigestion. Boy you’d die right now."
And I eat beans, and corn bread, and onions. Yes, sir. I took and I asked the blessing over it, and got it in my mouth, and chewed it up, and swallowed it.
Devil said, "You’ll die." And here it come right back up.
I held my hand over my mouth, swallowed it back again. I said, "No, sir. Huh-uh. I refuse. No, sir." Somebody’s right; either what my system said, or what God said. I’m looking to what He said.
E-34       I went out on the street, and the hot water running down my mouth soon as I… I was singing. I–I can, I will, I do believe that Jesus heals me now.
Someone said, "How you feeling?"
I said, "Wonderful."
"You healed?"
"How you feeling?"
"Anything wrong?"
"Nothing." And go… [Brother Branham illustrates–Ed.]… go back it again.
"How you feeling?"
"Are you healed?"
I stayed right with it day after day and week after week, and I was healed one morning. I believed Him. I took Him at His Word. Nobody ever cast it away from me, but the Word said so.
And the Word of God will defeat Satan any place, any time, anywhere, and on any condition. That’s right. That’s what it is; it’s God’s Word. "Heavens and earth will pass away, but My Word shall never fail." Believe It.

The Creator Of Heavens And Earth, Washed The Dung Off Of Men’s Feet

You know what? I’ve noticed this in my travels. You usually find, great men are little men. I go around where there’s great men, really great men, and I know they’re great men. But when I start to leave them, they make you think you’re the great man; they ain’t nothing. But you take a little two-by-four, don’t know nothing; he thinks he’s all of it. He ain’t nothing to begin with. It’s great men are little men. They never brag or take honor. They make you feel that you’re great. That’s great men.
And here, the greatest of men, the greatest of all men, God manifested in flesh, become a foot wash flunky, with humility. The King of all eternity, all glory, the Creator of heavens and earth, washed the dung off of men’s feet.

The Logos Was Created.

The Logos that went out of God as… No disregards to Catholic people now. But the Catholic church, I… My background, my family’s Catholic. And I have the–the Catholic people here, the book called “Facts of Our Faith.” And they use the word of eternal sonship of God. The word don’t even make sense to me. The word “eternal” means “eternity, which had no begin or has no end.” And “son” means “had a beginning.” So how could it… It could be a eternal Godship, but never an eternal sonship. A son is one that’s begotten of. So it had a beginning.
So… And the Logos, which was the Son of God went out, created by these great fountains of purity, God, as those Spirits went out, and it created the Logos. And it was a body. It was in the form of what we are now, which is called in the clergy way of speaking it, a theophany. It’s a body that doesn’t have a spirit in it. It’s a body that’s waiting for you Christians. As soon as the life leaves this, you go into that body. When this earthly tabernacle be dissolved, we have one already waiting, a theophany.
